So much going on, so much to write, so much to drink and not enough time! There have been many awesome and incredible things happening and about to happen, but this particular blog post deserved a post all by itself. I’ll fill you in on the other awesomeness next week.
Wiggly Bridge Distillery is so thrilled that we have welcomed our new Apprentice Distiller, Quinn Kolmar!
Being WigglyGirl, I’m not one to do a typical interview. I want some information that you often wonder about people but don’t want to ask. Or maybe its what I wonder about people….hmmm either way I think you’ll find these nuggets of information about Quinn interesting. I hope you get a view of who will be helping us make our award winning spirits. A job we do not take lightly.
I’ll give you a little bit of background of why she wanted to get Wiggly and then we’ll get into the not-so-interview-y questions.
Before stumbling upon the Wiggly Apprentice opportunity Quinn had a wonderful experience spending some time in Scotland with her husband. They were able to visit and tour distilleries. During her time there she was most fascinated by the process of distilling in the fact that the processes are the same yet each distillery produces such different flavors. This is one of the reasons why at Wiggly Bridge Distillery aren’t worried about revealing our mash bill of 58% corn 37% Rye and 5% malted barley. There is so much that goes into what we make that contributes to flavor.
Quinn has been in the trenches with Dave learning all things Wiggly for a week – And she’s still here! 😀 This job is not for the faint of heart and she’s killing it. Her favorite part so far is the smell in the distillery.
We are so happy to Welcome Quinn to the Wiggly team and hope if you come by the distillery, wave down into the production room and say hi!
