On a wintery day like today, we like to cozy up with one of wigglybridgedistillery’s many delicious spirits! On a day as snowed in as this one, we made the trek down to York to meet with David Woods Sr. to talk all things distilled. A big thank you to both David and Amanda for arranging this visit! No one can deny that David Woods is an enthusiastic, lifelong entrepreneur. Having spent most of his life dabbling in a multitude of business ventures around York County, Wiggly Bridge Distillery is just one of many projects he has undertaken. David Woods Jr. pitched the initial idea to start making their own spirits at a family dinner, and soon the two set out on a journey to teach themselves all they could about distilling. Father and son traveled to the family vacation home on the island of Montserrat to build their own copper still and test all kinds of recipes. What they emerged with was the know-how to establish Wiggly Bridge in 2013 and whiskies that have been pulling in awards ever since!

Wiggly Bridge’s tasting room was originally built as a barn in the late 1800s and all spirits served are made in-house. You can peek through the windows to watch the magic happen! And if you’re thirsty to learn more, Wiggly Bridge offers tours, classes, and even a “Distiller For A Day” program for you to get the full experience!

The impressive variety of spirits that Wiggly Bridge offers comes in part from David Woods Sr.’s desire to keep things exciting and learn new things, so stick around, you might find something new that puts a smile on your face and a wiggle in your walk. 😉🌉

This has been a labor of love for quite some time, and sharing it with all of you was special.

The goal was to create a night that not only showcased what UNION is all about but also celebrated the heart of this industry—the people. Seeing you all come together, sharing food, drinks, laughter, and genuine moments of connection, was a beautiful reminder of why we do what we do.
