We’re ecstatic to share the release of Barrel Aged Suburban Transplant, a bold imperial take on our fan-favorite Suburban Transplant beer; this Saturday (6/14) at the Wakefield Farmers Market!
Built with Maine-grown and malted barley from Blue Ox, this brew was fermented with a select blend of Belgian yeasts and aged for months in a Wiggley Bridge single malt whiskey barrel. We added 50 pounds of Red Haven peaches grown right on our property in Reading, plus a touch of Brettanomyces for bright funky layered depth of flavor.
This barrel-aged gem is tart, oaky, and packed with complex flavors that evolve with every sip. Crafted to age beautifully, Barrel Aged Suburban Transplant is the perfect pour for sharing with friends and family, igniting stories and laughter over long evenings.

Old York is celebrating 125 years of preserving York’s history! To mark this landmark anniversary, York’s own wigglybridgedistillery has created a drink in our honor. It is called ‘The Old Gaoler’ and is made of passion fruit, coconut, pickled pear, pineapple, island bitters and white rum, topped with a sprig of mint.
A portion of the proceeds from this drink will be donated to Old York. So be sure to stop by wigglybridgedistillery now through December and order yourself The Old Gaoler! Thank you wigglybridgedistillery! We are so excited about this collaboration.
P.S. A holiday weekend is a perfect excuse to visit wigglybridgedistillery!
I`m terrible at finishing bottles that are hard to replace, even if it`s not a special release.

mainelybourbon introduced me to some fun and tasty Maine whiskeys, and Wiggly Bridge was one of my first favorites of the samples Rick sent.

Dark for its age - and very drinkable for being so young. Drinks like its proof - doesn`t come in hot for its mellow 43% ABV, even though it`s young. Corn forward, grain forward - one of those whiskeys I describe as farm fresh. Easy and enjoyable.

Only bummer about Wiggly Bridge was the distillery visit. After flying in from Texas, it was our first stop. I`ve had so many cool distillery visits all over the US, and this one... just wasn`t. Not very welcoming, not made to feel special like so many distilleries are good at doing for visitors who`ve traveled far. This was a while back, so for all I know, the girl working the bar (and the only employee I saw while I was there) is gone now. But it was definitely a bummer visit - and I bought a bunch of stuff. Three or four bottles, Glencairn, shirt - I forget what else. No gratitude, no interest in conversation - just a transaction. Oh well - hopefully that`s not other folks` experience.

I look forward to opening their agave spirit. I remember that sample being solid. And I bought an older release that also sampled well. Reviews for another day...

Check out some Maine whiskeys if you`re ever in the area!
